Tarsus Üniversitesi mensubu olmasanız bile kütüphaneden yararlanılabilirsiniz, fakat ödünç hizmetlerinden yararlanamazsınız. ANKOS-KİTS üyesi üniversite mensubuysanız ödünç işlemlerini kendi kütüphaneniz üzerinden yürütebilirsiniz. Bunun için de bağlı olduğunuz Üniversite Kütüphanesi’ne başvurmanız gerekmektedir.
  • 1. Who may use the libraries?
The Library primarily serves the Tarsus University students, faculty members, administrative staff and researchers. Not only Tarsus University members, but also academic staff and graduate students from other universities can be a member of our library and benefit from library services and resources for their research activities.
  • 2. How do I enroll in the library?
The staff and students of our university are natural members of our library. It is sufficient for them to show their personnel or student ID cards in order to activate their membership.
  • 3. I am not Tarsus University members, How can I use the library?
Tarsus University Library serves outside users but most outside users do not have borrowing rights. Otherwise, outside users can access Tarsus University Library sources by applying through the “Inter-Library Loan (ILL)” service of their own university library.
  • 4. How can I get books in the library?
Getting the books directly with the “Open Shelf” and “LC Classification” systems used in our library is possible. You need to check with the library catalog whether the publications you are looking for are in the library. You can get the publications after you have found the number from the library catalog. And received from the shelf by showing your university ID card from the staff at the borrowing desk. You can ask for help with books you can not find.
  • 5. How can I extend the return period of my borrowed works?
If you are in the library; You can make the extension process from our self-check devices. If you are outside the library; You can make the extension process by logging in from the web page or My Pocket Library application.You can extend 2 times for a work. The extension button will only be active the day before and the last day of the return date. IMPORTANT: If you have an overdue work or if the work you want to extend has been reserved by another user, the system will not allow extension.
  • 6. How many works can I borrow from the library at once?
The lending, duration, number and extension rights of library information resources according to their status are as follows: Academical personal 30 days 5 books 2 right to extension, PhD/Master's Student 30 days 5 books 2 right to extension, Undergraduate/Associate Degree Student 15 days 3 books 2 right to extension, Administrative Staff 30 days 3 books 2 right to extension, *Members covering both statuses enjoy the rights of the group that is most advantageous for them (in terms of loan period and number).
  • 7. What are Non-borrowed materials?
The following library materials cannot be borrowed:
*Reference resources (Encyclopedia, Bibliographies, handbooks, etc.)
*Periodicals,
*Theses,
*Atlas,maps and so on
*Other materials determined by the Department and inappropriate to be taken out of the library,
  • 8. What kind of sanction is applied if a borrowed work is lost or returned with damage?
If the loaned book is lost, the same book is provided by the user. If the book is lost and can not be found on the market, a corresponding book will be provided by the user.In cases where a lost / damaged work is required, when the user applies to the library, the relevant personnel is directed to ensure that the necessary actions are taken to compensate the damage determined by the provisions of the relevant legislation.
  • 9. What is the Library working hours?
Tarsus University Library working hours 08:00 – 17:00 for weekdays. The Library will be closed on weekends.
  • 10. I forgot my password. What should i do?
Users who forget their password must first log in to the library member account with their account login information from the "I forgot my password/ not created" tab on our library's website or from the Login field on the "My Account" screen. Please enter your Member Code and click to Send button. If you are not yet set password, a new password will be created. If you have specified password, your password or newly created password will be sent to your email. With this new password, it is possible to retrieve works from the devices at the loan point in the library.
  • 11. How can I access to databases from outside the campus?
